Art in the Arctic

Black Spruce Brewing Company is honored to be hosting the 2025 Art in the Arctic show this Friday, February 7! Presented by the Friends of the Alaska National Wildlife Refuges, this year’s theme is “Resilience in the Refuges: Fish and Rivers of the Far North,” and the show will feature six Alaska-based artists.
From the Friends of the Alaska National Wildlife Refuges:
“This year’s theme celebrates the fish of three northern Refuges and the waterways that support them. Arctic fish species like char, cisco, grayling, salmon, sheefish and dolly varden are not only beautiful, but also fundamental to the health of intact ecosystems and the cultural fabric of subsistence lifeways. Migration is a key part of many Arctic fish species’ life history, and thus habitat connectivity is essential.”

Great for kiddos and adults alike, this all-too-drinkable beverage is made with passion fruit purée and carbonated water, and that’s pretty much it! Enjoy a glass during your next visit, and feel free to grab a growler to go if you really take a shine to it! As if this week weren’t already fish-tastic enough, Heavy Weather Fish Co. will be here this Saturday, February 8 from noon to 2PM to pick-ups of sockeye salmon and other delicious Alaska fish! You can shop their products place your pre-order at the link below. Pre-orders close on February 6 at noon.
