Black Spruce is now offering delivery to customers on Alaska’s road system!
The new year rang in a lot of changes for Alaska’s breweries, including extended hours, live events and… direct-to-consumer shipping! We at Black Spruce are thrilled to announce that we’re now offering delivery through UPS to our fans living on Alaska’s road system, including Anchorage, Girdwood and the MatSu Valley! Our new online beer and cider shop includes our full selection of canned beers and ciders and will be updated as our offerings change.
Now, a few things about ordering beer and cider online:
- Again, this service is limited to addresses (no PO boxes) on the road system. Additional service areas may and will be added in time.
- Age verification is required for all orders. That means that someone 21+ must receive and sign for all beer and cider packages. Valid photo ID is required.
- Order minimums and maximums apply. Orders must include a minimum of eight cans (two 4-packs) and a maximum of sixteen cans (four 4-packs).
- Orders cannot be delivered to dry communities or areas where similar limitations on alcohol sales exist.
- Per Alaska state law, for direct-to-consumer shipments, we can sell up to four 4-packs to each individual each day, but an individual may not purchase more than the equivalent of twenty-seven (27) 4-packs per calendar year.
- Merchandise, including apparel, cannot be added to beer and cider orders.

A Punchy DIPA
ICYMI we’ve got a new DIPA on tap! This isn’t just any old DIPA: it’s our annual anniversary collaboration with our friends at Lavelle’s Taphouse! Last month, Lavelle’s Taphouse celebrated eight years in business, and we cheers their success with a glass of Brass Knuckles West Coast Double IPA. Beautifully clear and satisfyingly bitter, this old school brew features notes of melon, pine and citrus and may be just a little too drinkable. Enjoy it at our taproom or at Lavelle’s Taphouse today!
Gimme That Glass
You’ve used it in the taproom. You’ve seen it in our posts. Complete your home local beer experience with some crisp and clean Black Spruce glassware! All of our glass styles, including taster glasses, mugs and tumblers, are available both in our taproom and through our online store!
Upcoming Events
Next Friday will be another First Friday! Next Friday, March 1, Black Spruce will be delighted to welcome local artist Linda Wies back to our taproom! Linda’s original prints feature scenes from Alaska and showcase the Interior’s flora and fungi. This show is always a popular one, so be sure to come down to check out Linda’s work and to add one of her original pieces to your collection! As always, we’ll have plenty of fresh beer and cider on tap, and the Knotty Pretzel will be here, too!
Though the temperatures are warming, we’re still serving up local eats indoors at our taproom! You can catch the Knotty Pretzel here on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays. Meg’s Eats & Treats has fresh Mediterranean fare on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Sweet Prik Thai Asian Fusion is here all day on Saturday, and you’re not going to want to miss out on fresh spring rolls and more!
Anchorage and Mat-Su accounts, we’re comin’ for ya! Our next round of Anchorage and Mat-Su deliveries will be on March 4 & 5. Stock up on your Black Spruce faves at your local bottle shop, then come and say “hi” to us at the festival!
