It’s fun to enjoy beer with friends and make things and chat about what fun thing you’re gonna do next, so come do all three with us this Saturday night!
Join us at our taproom this Saturday, December 14 from 5PM to 8PM for a Bamboo & Brew Aprés Ski with our friends at Bankstown Bike & Ski and Booyah Bamboo! Grab a brew, pick your pole length, basket color and grip color, and have your very own custom ski poles built onsite while you wait! How cool is that?! ICYMI Ski Land just opened for the season, so start the season in style with a completely unique-to-you pair of poles!

Holiday Coloring Night TONIGHT
Grab the kiddos and your favorite BSBC brew for TONIGHT’s Coloring Night: Holiday Edition! This all ages event will feature holiday-themed pages for both kids and adults. We’ll have crayons and a variety of pages out on all of the tables, and when you’re done, feel free to put your artwork up on the fridge (our big cooler)! BYO food tonight, and we’ve got tons of non-alcoholic options for both kids and adults available. Happy coloring!
“How To” Book Swap Next Week
We are stoked to be teaming up with Forget-Me-Not Books for another Book Swap next Wednesday, December 18! This time, the theme is “how to” books, and cookbooks, craft books, hobby books and tomes of the like will be the focus. Children’s books are also welcome. This book swap is FREE to participate in, and leftover books will be donated to Forget-Me-Not Books and the Fairbanks Children’s Museum.
Special Holiday Hours
FYI we’ve got some special taproom hours coming up the next couple of weeks. Otherwise, our hours are the same as usual for the winter (3PM-8PM Monday through Thursday, 3PM-9PM Friday, 12PM-8PM Saturday).
- Tuesday, December 24, we’ll be open from noon to 4PM.
- We will be CLOSED on Wednesday, December 25.
- We will be open from 3PM to 9PM on Tuesday, December 31. Join us for our seventh annual Golden Spruce Cone Drop and Countdown to 9PM (formerly “Countdown to 8PM”)!
- We will be closed on Wednesday, January 1.

Missed Riva Sazama’s November art feature in our taproom? Fret not! Join us for a pop-up with Riva Sazama in our taproom this Thursday, December 12 from 4PM to 7PM! Shop Riva’s collection of handcrafted copperworks, including wearable pieces, like earrings and cuffs, ornaments and more!
Fairbanks Sensory Friendly Social Club will host its next monthly Caregiver Connection on Saturday, December 14 from 2PM to 4PM. Everyone is welcome to this opportunity to connect with parents and caregivers of special needs or neurodiverse individuals. Caregiver Connections are held on the second Saturday of each month from 2PM to 4PM in our side room.
Bankstown Bike & Ski will be joining us on Saturday, December 14 at 5PM for a Build-Your-Own Ski Poles Pop-Up with Booyah Bamboo! Pick your own colors, have materials cut to your size and start ski season off with some extra dope new ski equipment! Stay tuned for additional details!
We had a blast with last week’s book swap, and we’re stoked to do it again! Come by on Wednesday, December 18 for our next FREE Book Swap: “How To” Edition. The focus of this month’s book swap will be tomes of instruction, including cookbooks, craft books, gardening, home improvement, etc. We’ll also have a variety of children’s books available (we’ll always have children’s books). Thank you to Forget-Me-Not Books for helping to make this great event possible!
Where did the time go?! Black Spruce Brewing Company will turn SIX YEARS OLD this winter solstice, and we’re celebrating with a big fat party! Saturday, December 21, join us to celebrate Our Sixth Anniversary a trio of beer releases: Treble Dome Triple IPA, and two barrel-aged variants of our multi-award-winning Reginald Van Horn Barleywine. Starting at 6PM, we’ll also have live music by Casey Smith Project and The Forest That Never Sleeps! Thank you for six amazing years, Fairbanks!
An silly annual tradition returns! Join us for our 7th Annual Golden Spruce Cone Drop and Countdown to 9PM (formerly 8PM) on Tuesday, December 31! We will dangle a tiny, sparkly gold spruce cone from the ceiling, count down to 9PM and drop the cone down to… someone. It’s a fun and super chill way to ring in the new year without staying up too late, and we hope you’ll join us!
