Crack a Cold One with a Crane
Just in time for the 2025 Tanana Valley Sandhill Crane Festival, Sandhill Sippa Hazy Pale Ale is back on tap and in cans to-go! This easy-drinking lil’ number celebrates the changing season the the return of our some of our favorite avian friends, the sandhill crane!
This year’s brew is a real banger: notes of grapefruit, candied blueberry and apricot come atcha hard, but this beer drinks gloriously light. Fermented with Lallemand’s Verdant yeast strain and with a whole mess of late addition Mosaic and Citra hops, this beer gives all the juicy goods in a tame 5.1% ABV package.
You can enjoy this beer on tap or in cans to-go from our taproom right now, and you can catch Friends of Creamers Field at our taproom this Thursday, August 21 with festival merchandise, raffle tickets and crane information!
Use a Can to Make a Car
Who’s ready for some good clean fun? Join us for our upcoming Can Car Derby! In the spirit of ye olde Pinewood Derby, we wanna see fast cars, stylish cars, cars that really embrace the ethos of Black Spruce, etc. Your registration includes wheels, axles and a couple of beer tokens, and full rules are at the registration page. Giddy up!

For your listening pleasure, please welcome Once & Future, Hemlock and Chaepter! Tunes will start at 5:30PM, and be sure to bring your ID with you. Sweet Prik Thai Asian Fusion will be here, if you need a bite. Summer’s not quite over, so let’s get outside and party just a little bit more!
Festbier is Almost Here…!
It’s still summer, OK? It’s not fall yet, but… we’re gonna release our favorite fall beer, Alasktober Festbier, in a couple of weeks. How about on Saturday, September 6 during our Can Car Derby? Crisp, balanced and a celebration of Old World hops, this autumnal wonder is a joy for the senses and is always one of our fastest-selling brews of the year. Get it on tap and in cans to-go beginning on Saturday, September 6!

Next Thursday, August 28, our friend Sarah Clark (Forget-Me-Knot Stitches) will join us for our next Patio Pop-Up! Sarah’s DIY embroiery kits are a ton of fun, and her original designs are witty, inspiring and beautiful. Check her out!
Also coming next Thursday, August 28, we’ll have live music on our patio! Beginning at 5:30PM, you can catch Once & Future, Hemlock and Chaepter on our patio for a FREE outdoor concert! We’re delighted to welcome returning artist Erica Mathews (Lola Bug Creations) back to our taproom as our featured artist for September and the star of our next First Friday on Friday, September 5! Erica specializes in mosaics large and small, and along with her original works, she’ll also have DIY kits available for purchase! Even better? Whitney McLaren will be here offering professional pet portraits (stay tuned for booking info) and Spice It Up will be here with curry for days!
On your mark, get set, go! Get your build on with our upcoming Can Car Derby, hitting our patio on Saturday, September 6 at 2PM! Registration includes a couple of beer tokens, wheels and axles. You’re on your own for a can to incorporate, but we can help you out, if you really need. Prizes will be awarded for fastest car, most stylish car, most innovative car, etc. Advance registration is required (register HERE), and this event is open to all ages (parent/guardian required for minors).
