New Talk This Wednesday Featuring BSBC Brewer Carey Fristoe
It’s a new year and time for a brand new talk in our Think + Drink lecture series! This week’s talk is titled “Hold My Beer: The Science of Brewing” and will be led by none other than our own Carey Fristoe! Carey holds a masters degree in brewing and distilling from Edinburgh’s Hariot-Watt University and is now one of Alaska’s most awarded brewers! Join us this Wednesday, January 7 at 6PM, and as always, this talk is free and open to the public! Our next talk in this series will be on January 21 and will be all about farming in the Interior!
Let’s Talk Bison, Baby
The Alaska Chapter of Backcountry Hunters & Anglers and the Alaska Department of Fish & Game will be joining us on Wednesday, January 14 for a riveting update on the ongoing restoration of Alaska’s wood bison population! Talk starts at 6PM, is open to the public and will be led by ADFG’s Luke Rollie Rogers! This presentation will also feature the photography of our current featured artist, Mark Lindberg! Attendees will have the chance to enter into a raffle to win a unique metal print of one of Mark’s photos, too!
