Let's Think AND Drink Tomorrow

Those temps are droppin’, your winter prep is done (mostly) and it’s time to kick it. Head over to our taproom tomorrow evening for our next free, public Think + Drink talk and hear a wild tale from Alaska’s past while enjoying one of our award-winning brews or new releases! This week, UAF history professor Tyler Kirk, PhD will be presenting “Dog Diplomacy: The Hope ‘91 Intercontinental Dog Sled Race and the End of the Cold War"!
About it from Tyler:
In 1991, Alaskan and Soviet dog mushers embarked on a 1200-mile race across the Bering Strait from Nome to Anadyr in the Russian Far East. This presentation explores the incredible visual history and legacies of this intercontinental sled dog race, which marked a period of hope for the future that ended with the collapse of the Soviet Union and post-Soviet Russia’s slide into authoritarianism.
Wild, right?! You learn something new every day, and tomorrow’s a great day to learn something new about Alaska! This talk will be free, open to the public and beginning at 6PM tomorrow (Tuesday, November 11)!
Sock It To Me, Baby

Just ‘cause it’s cold doesn’t mean we’re not still having outdoor fun. Keep cozy in the cold with these sick new merino wool socks! Socks fit just about everyone (women’s 8 up to men’s 13), feature a dazzling aurora design and even say “Fairbanks, Alaska” on the foot so as to show everyone you got them from someplace cold.
Get these perfect stocking stuffers at our taproom or our online store!
Cz-Cz-Cz-Czanges
Hot on the tail of our award-winning Alasktober Festbier (gold in Pale Lager category, 2025 AK Beer Awards), our latest lager is one for the books! Czanges (pronounced just like “changes”) Czech Pilsner has it all: stunning clarity, brisk bitterness, old world charm and superior drinkability. Will there be a better bonfire beer this winter? Doubt it.
Czanges Czech Pilsner is now available on tap on our fancy side pull faucet (that foam!) and in 4-packs to go from our taproom.
