In case you missed it, the Iditarod Sled Dog Race is coming to Fairbanks! Next Monday, March 3 at 11AM, the race’s official restart will take place on the frozen Chena River right outside of Pike’s Waterfront Lodge. You know what’s a quick, eight minute drive (that feels like five) from the race start? Our beautiful taproom! Next Monday, March 3, our taproom will open at noon just for the race start! After you cheer on the racers, stop by to enjoy a pint of our award-winning beer or cider in our cozy taproom or out on our sunny patio! Our patio is dog-friendly (must be on-leash with owner and well-behaved), and the forecast is calling for warm temperatures!

If you’re planning to go watch the race start, check out a great video HERE from the Fairbanks North Star Borough with parking and shuttle tips, and remember to leave your pooch at home for the start! Good luck to all of this year’s racers, and cheers to exciting times in the Golden Heart City!

We ♥ Aaron Wilbur & Bikes

Congratulations to our sponsored racer and one of the coolest cats around, Aaron Wilbur, for finishing fifth in this year’s Iditarod Trail Invitational 350-Mile Men’s Bike Race! Aaron’s no stranger to the ITI trail, and he totally crushed this year’s race! If you see him in the taproom, around town or out on another trail, be sure to give him a heartfelt high-five and to tell him great job! Congratulations on another race well-ridden, Aaron!

For Fox Sake, It’s a New Lager

She’s a beaut, Clark. Look at how crisp and clear that little devil is! What a way to start the weekend. For Fox Sake Helles Lager is now on tap and available in 4-packs to-go, and this one’s gonna go fast. Helles lagers are crazy easy-drinking and hella refreshing, really the pinot grigio of beers. This one is made with Steffi Pilsner Malt from Latah, Washington, as well as German Tettnanger hops for that old world profile and stunningly balanced bitterness. This one’s gonna be a spring skiing crusher, so get your fill before it’s gone!
