Solstice Releases Next Week

Summer solstice is coming next weekend, and Fairbanks can’t wait! To celebrate, we’ve got two of our favorite brews returning to our taproom. You know ‘em, you love ‘em, and they’re tasting better than ever.
Next Thursday, June 20, we’ll be releasing our sixth annual Brewed with Pride collaboration in celebration of Pride Month! We were thrilled to once again be joined by local legend Larry Lowery of the Library Bar & Bites. Larry brings an incredible amount of beverage knowledge and mixology know-how to the table, and it’s always a pleasure to brew with him. This year’s release harkens back to this collaboration’s roots (the first brew in this series was a banger!), and this year’s beer’s name, style and label will soon be announced! A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this beer will be donated to the Interior AIDS Association, and this beer will be available on tap and in 4-packs to-go from our taproom and online store.
Next Friday, June 21, we’ll be releasing the sixth brew of Sun Never Sets Rosé IPA. Inspired by the dry body and red fruit notes of sparkling rosé vino, this beer was first brewed in 2019 to celebrate the solstice wedding of Black Spruce owners Stephanie Haskins and Carey Fristoe. This beer has since become a customer favorite and one of our most popular summer brews and is a wholly unique and love-filled beer. This beer will be available on tap and in 4-packs through our taproom and online store while supplies last.
These solstice brews will be largely exclusive to our taproom, but you can be sure that other Black Spruce faves, like Aroma Dome IPA, will be available all over Fairbanks for the Midnight Sun Festival and your summer outings!

We had a blast with the Honeybucket Stringband on our patio earlier this month, and we’re getting ready to do it all again in a few weeks! On Saturday, June 29, you can catch Casey Smith Project, Bethlehem Shalom and Matt Hopper & the Roman Candles performing on our patio! Smell Our Candle!
We made a candle, everyone! We had a blast collaborating with Smell This AK to create an Aroma Dome IPA-inspired candle! Artisan candlemaker Denise Serino specializes in making soy wax, wood wick candles inspired by Alaska’s seasons and small businesses. We can’t wait for you to smell this: Smell This AK will be at our taproom for a pop-up on Thursday, June 27 from 4PM to 7PM and will have a new Aroma Dome IPA-inspired candle! That’s right: you could be enjoying the scent of citrus and hops in your very own home anytime! Come shop a stellar selection of handcrafted, soy wax, wood wick candles with a variety of scents inspired by Alaska and local small businesses!
The tunes keep coming! On Saturday, June 29, we’ll be showcasing a stellar trio of Alaskan artists! Casey Smith Project, Bethlehem Shalom and Matt Hopper & the Roman Candles will all be performing live on our patio beginning at 6PM! Like our June 1 show, there is no cover charge for this event, and kids with a parent are welcome. Early Bird Loaded Fries will be on-hand, if you need a bite to eat. You can catch us at Palmer Alehouse for Lagers on the Lawn on Sunday, June 30! This event will be a celebratory beer garden featuring lagers and lawn-sippers from across Alaska! All proceeds benefit the Brewers Guild of Alaska, and you can get tickets for this event HERE.
