Join us this Saturday for a sing-along to multi-holiday classic The Nightmare Before Christmas! Plus, more taproom events and new beers coming soon!

After a wild week, it’s nice to unwind with good friends, great beer and a favorite movie. Combine all three this Saturday, November 9 with our back-to-back showings of a sing-along version of multi-holiday classic, The Nightmare Before Christmas!

What’s not to like?! Don’t know the words? They’re up there on the screen. Don’t think you’re a good singer? Nobody cares and it’ll be loud enough that no one will be able to tell. Can’t decide which BSBC beer to enjoy during the show? Our expert beertenders will be happy to help you out.

Bring a camping chair for extra comfort, pack a couple of snacks and get ready for a holly jolly, spooky-ooky time! This event is free and open to all ages (kids with a parent/guardian are welcome). Dress up or don’t (we’re gonna dress up, though). Here’s to comfort viewing, terrific brews and excellent company!

The first showing this Saturday will begin at 6PM, and a second showing will start at 7:30PM. We will be offering 12oz pours only for this event and will have hot mulled cider and non-alcoholic options (root beer, house soda, kombucha, NA beers) available, as well. See you there!

Mulled Cider Returns!

Beginning this Friday, November 8, we’ll be offering hot mulled cider on the weekends for the season! This warming winter treat is made from our Golden Heart Off-Dry Cider, with the additions of a little simple syrup for sweetness and festive mulling spices (orange peel, cinnamon, cloves, allspice, nutmeg. This is one of our favorite winter traditions, and we’re stoked to bring it back!

This tasty treat will be available to enjoy here in 12oz pours only.

Also Returning…

Back by popular demand, our all-ages Coloring Night will make its return next Wednesday, November 13! We’ll provide plenty of crayons, as well as coloring sheets for kids (Bluey, dinos, etc.) and adults (geometric designs, Titanic, etc.). This event is free and family-friendly, and Meg’s Eats & Treats will be here all evening with some creativity fuel for you!

Upcoming Events

‘Tis the season to cuddle up next to the fire with a good book. Refresh your inventory with our Book Swap! Drop off the gently used books early in the week or day-of, and on Wednesday, November 20, we’ll have everything set out and ready to peruse! All genres and reading levels are welcome, but no textbooks or magazines, please. Thank you to Forget-Me-Not Books for supporting this event! Leftover books will be donated back to FMNB.

Join us on Saturday, November 9 for a sing-along to The Nightmare Before Christmas! This family-friendly event will including two showings, one at 6PM and one at 7:30PM. Attendees are encouraged to bring a camping chair and a few snacks, and we’ll have beer, cider and non-alcoholic beverages (including soda) available for purchase.

Fun times are moving indoors, and Coloring Night is back! Wednesday, November 13, we’ll have crayons and coloring pages for kids and adults out on all of our taproom tables. You can even put your artwork on our fridge (our big walk-in cooler) when you’re done! This event is free and open to all ages (kids must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian).

We’ll be in Anchorage pouring at this year’s Alaska Crafted Festival on Saturday, November 16! This rad event will take place in downtown Anchorage at Williwaw Social, and you can get your tickets HERE. proceeds benefit the Brewers Guild of Alaska. See you there!

Holiday shopping season is here, and we’ll be hosting our own Local Makers Market on Saturday, November 23 from 4PM to 7PM! As always, enjoy a fresh pint of your favorite Black Spruce beer or cider while you shop, and stay tuned for details on featured vendors!

Who says creativity can’t be a little competitive? Sign up now for our upcoming Gingerbread House Building Competition, taking place on Saturday, November 30! Judged by two local pros, House of the Rising Bun’s Wendy Boger and Marlo’s Bakery’s Cathy Skrivanek, we’ve got space for ten teams of two to create in two hours the most impressive house in all the land. You can register for the competition and view the rules HERE. The competition is open to all ages (kids must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian), and we’ll have some festive winter movies playing, too!
